BOTTOM LOADING ARMS

Bottom Loading Arms

ABOUT BOTTOM LOADING ARMS

Bottom loading arm systems offer numerous safety, efficiency, and cost saving benefits over conventional top loading.

• Operator safety is the prime advantage; the operator remains on the ground, not on top of the vehicle, eliminating the risk of falling commonly associated with top loading systems.

• The danger of generating static electricity is reduced as bottom loading systems create less turbulence in the tank.

• Bottom loading systems reduce vapors that can be an environmental hazard and can easily be adapted to fully recover vapors displaced during loading.

• Speed is a key advantage of bottom loading; connections are made more quickly, tanks can be filled faster, and multiple compartments can be loaded simultaneously, reducing overall loading times.

• Simpler and cheaper to build than top loading racks, bottom loading islands can save time and money by safely loading more material in a shorter time with less spillage and vapor loss.

OPW bottom loading arms are ideal for loading and unloading petroleum products, chemicals, and liquefied gases, as well as offering numerous benefits over conventional top-loading systems. Bottom loading takes place at grade, making it inherently safer for the operator. It also allows for simultaneous loading of several tank compartments, increasing speed and efficiency of loading.
